CEREMONIAL SCHEDULE
Five days of sacred rituals
The Maha Samprokshanam unfolds over five days of agama-prescribed rituals, culminating in the main consecration ceremony. The exact dates in July 2026 will be announced once finalised with the temple sthapathis.

Yagasala Pravesham
Entry into the yagasala. Beginning of homas (sacred fire rituals) for the consecration.

Day 2
Day 2 (TBD)
Anugnai & Vastu Homam
Permission rituals seeking divine sanction for the consecration; placation of the eight directional guardians.
5:30 AM onwards
Day 3
Day 3 (TBD)
Ankurarpanam
Sowing of nine grains in earthen pots — the auspicious germination ritual that signals the temple’s rebirth.
6:00 AM onwards
Day 4
Day 4 (TBD)
Vasanta Pooja & Yagam
Daylong yagam ceremonies, special abhishekams, and preparation of the sacred water for the main consecration.

Day 5 (TBD)
Maha Samprokshanam
The principal ceremony. Sacred consecration waters poured over the kalasams of the vimana and gopuram, marking the temple’s re-establishment.
